Integral Advaita

Integral Advaita

Integral Advaita is Sri Aurobindo’s unique reinterpretation of the classical Advaita Vedanta philosophy. While traditional Advaita emphasizes the non-dual nature of Brahman and sees the world as Maya (illusion), Aurobindo’s Integral Advaita affirms the world as a real and meaningful manifestation of the Divine.

In Integral Advaita, Brahman is both transcendent and immanent. The spiritual journey involves not just renunciation or escape from the world, but a transformation of life itself. Aurobindo integrates the individual soul, the cosmic order, and the divine into a harmonious whole, emphasizing spiritual evolution.

This philosophy underpins his vision of Integral Yoga, where spiritual realization involves body, mind, and soul. The goal is not mere liberation but the manifestation of the divine in earthly life.

Integral Advaita is thus a dynamic, inclusive philosophy that unites spirituality with life and evolution, making it highly relevant in the modern age.
