Transactional Analysis
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory of personality and communication developed by Eric Berne. It studies how people interact using three ego states: Parent, Adult, and Child. Each interaction, or “transaction,” is analyzed to understand patterns in behavior and relationships. TA helps clients identify unhealthy communication styles and replace them with positive ones. It is useful in resolving conflicts, improving relationships, and personal growth. TA is often used in both personal counseling and organizational settings for better communication.
